Acer Aspire One D150 Laptop - A Review

If you have recently decided to buy a laptop computer or have one and want some information about what to do to keep laptop battery in prime condition then go no further. This article will give you advice on what to do to make sure that your battery will be able to hold a full charge for as long as it is possible. Most laptop batteries will stay in condition, if looked after correctly, for about 1000 charge cycles although most people that I know with laptops do not get anywhere near this amount out of them. There are a few simple reasons for this and some of them will be explained below.

ONICD Batteries These are the oldest type of lithium ion battery stocks cell phone battery and as is the case with the laptop computer are less reliable than the newer types.

There are several types of battery in use at the present time and each must be treated differently. There are Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cad), Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) and Lithium-ion. Ni-Cad is old technology and hence only found in ancient handsets, so I will not be covering them in this article. NiMH batteries perform much better than Ni-Cad, typically giving 30% more talk time, but Lithium are thinner and give even higher performance. I will be concentrating on lithium facts-ion as it is the most used modern mobile phone battery to date. Check which type of battery your phone has before following any of the following.

This can be a problem for where the battery is not used that often but is can be important when it is needed for emergencies such as power outages. As the battery does not store well over extended amounts of time, it is possible that when they are needed they will not be usable. But for things that are used and recharged on a regular basis such as for portable electrical equipment, they are very good. But there is not always a slowing amount of capacity when they are getting old and it is possible for them to just not work without any reason being obvious.

The iPod warranty is one year but you can expand it for two years with AppleCare Protection Plan for iPod. Various merchants have inexpensive extended warranty coverage available and often these programs purely change the lithium bettery stock product with a corresponding new unit.

Briefly relating back to overall size... many lithium 18650's will differ ever so slightly in length (measured in millimeters). This is mainly due to an added protection circuit. The circuit helps to prevent the battery from over-discharging, since Li-ion cells can easily become damaged if their power is drained below a particular voltage. The protection circuit also prevents the cell from being over-CHARGED as well. These cells are very sensitive. They must be handled carefully, gently, and as described above, must never run-down too far, or be charged over and above their threshold. They can actually explode if severely mistreated!

Step 4 - Connect in the newly bought battery to the board of the iPod (where you unconnected the old battery) and set it on the glue that remained on the hard drive. Make sure that the battery and the wires are set properly so you can actually close the iPod. Snap the cover back together, you'll hear it when it's finished!
